PROCEDURE FOR RECRUITMENT OF NVK(GD)/NVK(DB)/YANTRIK

Review medical for those candidate who are unfit in Final Medicals at INS Chilka within the time period as decided by Indian Coast Guard .

Verification of original documents through boards/universities/state government by Indian Coast Guard.

Candidate will be terminated from service if the documents are reported as not genuine by respective board/universities/state government.

NOTE:-
1. Candidates are to fill the online application form with due care as no changes are allowed in the application after submission.
2. Any wrong declaration in application like name, father's name percentage, category, date of birth not supported by valid documents will lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of selection procedure even if the candidate is allowed to appear in the written test/PFT/medicals and clears the same. The candidate's information like name/father's name and date of birth should be same on all documents Date of birth certificate, Board/Diploma pass certificate, Marksheet, Caste certificate, College ID, Aadhaar Card, PAN card, Voter card, Driving license and Passport).
3. Document verification will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard at multiple stages from sl (c) to (m) as mentioned above. The candidature of the candidate will be cancelled at any stage if any mismatch is found in the online application and the documents submitted even if the candidate has cleared the written test, PFT, final medical at INS Chilka and inducted in service.
4. The date of issue of all documents is to be on or prior to the closing date of online application.
5. The category certificate (OBC/EWS/SC/ST), domicile certificate, mark sheets, pass certificate of grade 10/12/diploma should be issued on or prior to closing date of online application. There is a possibility that the candidate has a document issued prior to closing date (there by eligible to apply) however the validity of the document expired when the candidate reported for the written test. In this case, the candidate can be allowed to appear for the written test and inclusion in merit list subject to following: -

(a) The candidate has to give proof that he has applied for validating his document which expired after submission of the online application.
|
|
(b) The candidate has to submit self-attested photocopy of the document issued prior to the closing date of the application.
|
|
(c) The candidate has to give an undertaking that he would be able to provide valid document prior to the date specified by the Coast Guard(generally within 20 days after the written test) or else his candidature will be cancelled.
|
|
(d) If the candidate has not applied for renewal, he is to give an undertaking that he will submit new valid certificate within a period as specified by the Coast Guard (generally within 20 days after the written test) or else his candidature may be cancelled.
|
|
(e) These candidates are required to submit two documents (then only the documentation will be treated as complete) prior to the date specified by Coast Guard with details as follows: -
|
|
(i) Valid document issued prior to closing date of application.
|
|
(ii) Valid document issued after the closing date and the date specified at sl (c)/(d).
|
6. Candidates are directed to fill the caste details (ST/SC/OBC/EWS) as applicable with due care as no changes are allowed after submission of application. In the past few candidates declaring the caste wrongly in the application form requested Coast Guard to permit them to appear in the written examination as general candidate. This is not permitted on the ground of false declaration by the candidates in the application form and leads to cancellation of the candidature at any stage of the recruitment process and even after induction in the service.
7. The format for OBC certificate (non-creamy layer) of candidates should be as per the format for appointment to post under the Govt. of India and should bear QR/bar code for subsequent online verification. The format of the OBC certificate is available on ICG website.
